Peppermint Patty

I take back my rambling about wanting to skip spring weather right away. Today was my day off and I spent it outside taking a long walk/run. It was gorgeous! Enough about the weather though...
I'm getting excited for summer and starting to make plans for a visit to North Carolina to visit my sister and also a visit back to Iowa. In Des Moines there is a music festival every summer thats very affordable and so much fun that I'm planning on attending again this year. They just announced a few of the acts for this years lineup and The Avett Brothers are heading the first night and Death Cab For Cuite is headlining the next. So, I'm obviously looking forward to that! I'm also hoping to get away to the ocean sometime this summer, we'll see about that one!

Grandmas House

Alright, so we already know that I am pretty much an old lady. I enjoy various crafts, watching Golden Girls, and eating caramels. But now I am starting to dress like an old ladys house. Is this a problem?
The reason I bought this dress is because it reminded me of vintage curtains I've seen at thrift stores. This sweater is a recent purchase that looks similar to shag carpet. I can't take it off. ("fourth days a charm?" according to Nick), Oops.



The weather in DC has been super weird this year. We had a week of 80 degree days so I went straight to my summer clothes, but now it's in the 50s so I'm having to go back to spring clothes which just isn't fair. I hate having to layer and constantly add/subtract clothes. I'm ready for the warm weather! Whats your favorite thing to wear in this in between weather?
