Retro Red

Last night was the CAPFABB (Capital Area Fashion and Beauty Bloggers) monthly meetup. I've technically been a part of the group of bloggers for months but this was my first event. The meet up was held at the Madewell store in Georgetown. It was super cute with flutes of champagne and the most delicious cupcakes I've ever had. And I've had a lot of cupcakes in my life!
Unfortunately most of my blogger friends in the area (Gina, Katie, Tania) couldn't make it, but Hannah and I went and it was a decent time. I usually avoid networking opportunities/social situations with strangers/anywhere but my apartment so I'm proud of myself for even mustering up the courage to give it a try. I wish I had the courage to just start up a conversation but that's just not my personality. Off topic, but I hate when people say that I'm too quiet. Some people are just that way!! Anyway, I did ended up talking with a few really nice bloggers and the night was fun overall.

I wore a pleated red dress I made last week. I really love the simple design. I had a hard time deciding how to style it since there are so many possibilities! Gotta love the feeling of not knowing what to wear since I had too many ideas instead of not enough! I've been on a red kick lately, maybe it has to do with Valentines day coming up.

My hair is getting to that lenght where the bangs are too long but I can make it a few more weeks without getting it cut. I'm too poor for that! So I got creative and pinned them back into a fun little pin curl. Hello to my new everyday look until I get my hair did.
