Do you have a favorite piece in your wardrobe that you can wear over and over again, while creating a new outfit each time? That item for me is this I <3 Ronson heather gray jumper. I've wore in a few times on the blog already, and countless times IRL too. It's just so me. I love to layer it over a cute top and to try out different accessories with it. It's like a blank canvas just waiting to be styled! I have a few other pieces in my closet like that, with endless posibility. A black silk skirt, white tee shirt, blue jeans, etc, but this dress is basic AND fun.
Today is my day off work, so I've been out shopping for the perfect outfit for New Years Eve. My mom is getting married on NYE so I needed to find a Little Black Dress that's fun enough for NYE but not too out of control because I'll be with family. I found an adorable dress with a black velvet bodice and black tulle skirt with knife pleats at H&M for $9.95 which will be perfect! It's a little on the short side so I'll be wearing black tights too. I picked up the most beautiful art deco beaded belt from Urban Outfitters to go with it and will also wear my lace jacket over it. I'm so excited for this outfit! I'll be sure to share pictures.
I don't usually do sequin-y stuff, so I had a lot of fun trying on all these dresses and jackets that I'd normally turn my nose up at. It will be fun to drink champagne at midnight and all that since I spent last NYE in with Nick and my mom watch the Bravo special. Crazzzzy night, let me tell you!
As for these shoes, arn't them amazing?! Red. Velvet. Vans. I haven' gotten more compliments on anything in my wardrobe more than these shoes. I've been wearing them almost every day since I've gotten them. I mean, they are perfect shoes for December. This is pretty much an outfit of all of my favorite things. Bows, polka dots, collar, velvet and CAPE!!
